A Full Team Visit to Croydon Preceptory
In November, Croydon Preceptory No 198 were pleased to receive the Provincial Vice Chancellor of Surrey, E. Knight Peter Brown and a number of Provincial Officers of the year.

A Full Team Visit to Croydon Preceptory

After the Preceptory was opened the Provincial Marshal, E.Kt. Chris Eley, entered and advised the Acting Eminent Preceptor, E.Kt. Tim Ford, that E. Knight Peter Brown, Provincial Vice Chancellor of Surrey, along with a number of Provincial Officers of the year, was in the ante-room and requested admission to the Preceptory. The Provincial Vice Chancellor of Surrey entered under the direction of the Provincial Marshal and was greeted by the Eminent Preceptor. The Provincial Vice Chancellor was saluted with 3 after which he greeted everyone and took the muster roll and the minutes.

After the collection of Alms the Provincial Vice Chancellor and Provincial Officers of the year retired in procession from the Preceptory.

A Full Team Visit to Croydon Preceptory

A Priory of Knights of Malta was then opened by the Acting Eminent Prior, E.Kt. Brian Hunter. A vote was taken for Knight Shun Davison of Croydon Preceptory No. 198 to be installed as a Knight of Malta, which proved favourable. The Degree of Knight of St. Paul was confirmed on the candidate and Knight Shun Davison was admitted into the Chapter House, passed the Banners and obligated. The Eminent Prior then made Knight Shun Davison a Knight of the Ancient and Masonic Order of St John of Jerusalem, Palestine, Rhodes and Malta and entrusted him Grand Word and Sign of the Order. Knight Shun took his seat in the Priory.

A Full Team Visit to Croydon Preceptory

After the Priory was closed the Knights of Croydon Preceptory and their many guests dined together in fraternal union at the Croydon Masonic Hall.
