After the collection of Alms the Preceptory was closed and a Priory of Knights of Malta was opened by the Eminent Prior, E.Kt. Derek Williamson. A vote was taken for Knight Dale Brunt of Stephen Langton Preceptory No 478 and Knight David Dasey of Temple Court Preceptory No 162 to be installed as Knights of Malta, which proved favourable. The Degree of Knight of St. Paul was confirmed on the candidates and Knights Dale Brunt and David Dasey were admitted into the Chapter House, passed the Banners and obligated. The Eminent Prior then made Knights Dale Brunt and David Dasey Knights of the Ancient and Masonic Order of St John of Jerusalem, Palestine, Rhodes and Malta and entrusted them with the Grand Word and Sign of the Order.
