The Eminent Preceptor, E.Kt. Brian Pulley, opened the meeting and welcomed everyone. The Registrar, E.Kt. Brian Hunter, read the Letter of Permission to host a Virtual Business Meeting and a Dispensation enabling them to hold the meeting by Zoom and not at their regular meeting place. The Eminent Preceptor welcomed the members of the Surrey Provincial Executive and other guests to the meeting thanking them for their support and hoping that they will enjoy the meeting.

The minutes of the Virtual Business Meeting on 23rd November 2020 were approved by the Bro. Knights present.

After the regular business of the Preceptory had been concluded the Provincial Prior, RE.Kt. Patrick P Crossan, gave an inspiring talk on how we have been coping during these challenging times and how we should all be caring for our Bro. Knights. He said that those members who are living alone are particularly vulnerable and he asked the members present to pick up the phone and give them a ring to show that they are not forgotten.

He was looking at the Government roadmap out of lockdown and shared his thoughts as to what the resumption of Masonic activities could look like. We in Surrey will have our own road map taking into account the welfare of our Brother Knights.

He spoke about charity, both local and the Eye Hospital and said it is up to each Preceptory how to disperse their charitable funds. The Preceptory agreed to a £250 donation to the St. John of Jerusalem Eye Hospital.

After a discussion on options for future 2021 meetings of the Preceptory the Eminent Preceptor declared the meeting closed.
